Catch report W/E 23/10/17 Stephen Murgartoyd was delighted to bag himself a brace of 30’s and a new personal best 35lb 2oz mirror! Both his fish fell to a krill snowman presentation at around 60 yards range to a gravel spot which has proved productive for him on past sessions. Will Greig got off to a flyer, landing two mirrors in quick succession, the largest of the two resulting in a new personal best 31lb 8oz mirror. He then went on to smash that the following day slipping the net under an awesome 34lb 12oz mirror! He was also buzzing to catch his first ever grass carp weighing 25lb 12oz. Manilla wafters doing the business at very short range over a decent bed of freebies. Andy Mormile opted to change things up by chucking an 8.5ft zig out accompanied with a small piece of black foam out to some showing fish at around 60 yards. He was quickly rewarded picking up a chunky 35lb 2oz mirror and new personal best. Cromwell lake legend Brian Moores did well to pick up a couple of doubles to 17lb. Both fish fell to 2 grains of popped up corn over a bed of mixed particle and pellet at 80 yards range.
